On Support Varieties for Modules over Complete Intersections
Let (A, m, k) be a complete intersection of codimension c, and k̃ the algebraic closure of k. We show that every homogeneous algebraic subset of k̃c is the cohomological support variety of an A-module, and that the projective variety of a complete indecomposable maximal Cohen-Macaulay A-module is connected.
متن کاملHolonomic D-modules on Abelian Varieties
We study the Fourier-Mukai transform for holonomic D-modules on complex abelian varieties. Among other things, we show that the cohomology support loci of a holonomic D-module are finite unions of linear subvarieties, which go through points of finite order for objects of geometric origin; that the standard t-structure on the derived category of holonomic complexes corresponds, under the Fourie...
متن کاملComputing Homomorphisms Between Holonomic D-modules
Let K ⊆ C be a subfield of the complex numbers, and let D be the ring of K-linear differential operators on R = K[x, . . . , xn]. If M and N are holonomic left D-modules we present an algorithm that computes explicit generators for the finite dimensional vector space HomD(M, N). This enables us to answer algorithmically whether two given holonomic modules are isomorphic. More generally, our alg...
متن کاملCohen-macaulay Modules and Holonomic Modules over Filtered Rings
We study Gorenstein dimension and grade of a module M over a filtered ring whose assosiated graded ring is a commutative Noetherian ring. An equality or an inequality between these invariants of a filtered module and its associated graded module is the most valuable property for an investigation of filtered rings. We prove an inequality G-dimM ≤ G-dimgrM and an equality gradeM = grade grM , whe...
متن کاملSimple Modules over Factorpowers
In this paper we study complex representations of the factorpower FP(G,M) of a finite group G acting on a finite set M . This includes the finite monoid FP+(Sn), which can be seen as a kind of a “balanced” generalization of the symmetric group Sn inside the semigroup of all binary relations. We describe all irreducible representations of FP(G,M) and relate them to irreducible representations of...
